INDIVIDUAL INSTRUCTION AND MENTORING
We are available for individual instruction, classes and mentoring for beginning and advanced amateurs, as well as emerging professional and fine art photographers.
With over 30 years of commercial, portrait and fine art photography experience and five years teaching college photography, we are able to help with virtually any aspect of photography from fundamentals to advanced subjects. Among the topics we can teach are camera basics, studio lighting, portrait photography, and Lightroom. We can also help with Photoshop techniques. Whether you just got your first DSLR or are an experienced shooter looking to take your photography to the next level, we can help.
To start, we meet with the potential student to determine if and how we can be of help. Of course there is no charge for the initial visit and absolutely no obligation. If we decide to work together, subsequent sessions are $80 per hour for the first hour, $40 for additional hours during the same session.

Learn the basics of Photoshop retouching from a users point of view
February 1, 2020
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
The emphasis of this hands-on workshop will be on portrait photography, but in addition to learning how to skillfully improve your portraits through subtle (or if you prefer, not so subtle) retouching, you will also learn to use the Photoshop retouching tools for all aspects of your photography. We will work with the clone tool, healing brushes, fill, liquify and other tools, and also learn to use layers and layer masks to maintain maximum control of your retouching.
The skills you learn in this class will also be valuable for restoring and retouching old family photographs.
This introductory retouching class is presented from a user's point of view. As a commercial and fine art photographer, I use Photoshop retouching on a daily basis from simple headshot blemish removal to more complex, creative image enhancement. We will be using real world examples throughout the workshop.
The Photoshop retouching workshop is limited to four students, allowing for maximum student/teacher interaction. A minimum of 2 students is required for the class to run. After the class, students are free to remain at the studio to retouch a personal photograph with our assistance.
