Learn the basics of Photoshop retouching from a users point of view
There are currently no basic workshops scheduled. Please contact the studio if you would like one-to-one instruction.
$150
The emphasis of this hands-on workshop will be on portrait photography, but in addition to learning how to skillfully improve your portraits through subtle (or if you prefer, not so subtle) retouching, you will also learn to use the Photoshop retouching tools for all aspects of your photography. We will work with the clone tool, healing brushes, fill, liquify and other tools, and also learn to use layers and layer masks to maintain maximum control of your retouching.
The skills you learn in this class will also be valuable for restoring and retouching old family photographs.
This introductory retouching class is presented from a user's point of view. As a commercial and fine art photographer, I use Photoshop retouching on a daily basis from simple headshot blemish removal to more complex, creative image enhancement. We will be using real world examples throughout the workshop.
The Photoshop retouching workshop is limited to four students, allowing for maximum student/teacher interaction. A minimum of 2 students is required for the class to run. After the class, students are free to remain at the studio to retouch a personal photograph with our assistance.

Laptop computer with up to date version of Adobe Photoshop installed
Working knowledge of Photoshop
Optional:
Wacom tablet, software installed, working knowledge of tablet
(Feel free to contact the studio for guidance)
